Jessica Steen is a Canadian actress who has appeared in film and television, noted for her work in Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future, Homefront, Earth 2, Armageddon, Left Behind: World at War, NCIS, Flashpoint and the CBC series Heartland.



 



 Personal life



 Jessica Steen was born in Toronto (Ontario) to Joanna Noyes, an actor, and Jan Steen who is a actor and director. She has Dutch and Scottish ancestry.



 



 Steen is also an animal rights activist as well as an environmentalist, in addition her entertainment business. She is a supporter of David Suzuki, the World Society for the Protection of Animals and the Western Canadian Wilderness Committee, among others. She's a certified diver, and is proficient in a variety of circus arts, including stilt-walking, and fire-twirling.
